Newtons Primary School is a welcoming, semi-open plan school, described as an "oasis" in the community we serve. We have a strong sense of inclusion and we work in partnership with staff, governors and parents to ensure every child achieves their personal best. We have an open door policy and our "no blame" ethos is fundamental to the way relationships with all colleagues and stakeholders are developed and maintained.

The school was judged by Ofsted as "requiring improvement". We had an HMT Monitoring Visit last month. It was a very positive inspection and staff and governors were recognised for the progress we are making towards the areas that required improvement at the Ofsted inspection in June 2016.

The inspector said that our children are delightful and commented on the "family" feeling of our school. She praised the culture and ethos of the school which helped children to become confident, happy, young citizens.
