Teaching Assistant

Current Grade: APTC 3, points 14-17

Hours: 15 hours per week (9.00am-12.00pm)

Pay Range: £6,603 - £6,944 actual salary

Start date: September 2017

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced and high calibre Teaching Assistant to work initially in a Y1 class, commencing at the beginning of the Autumn Term on 5th September.

Hacton Primary School is an outstanding school in all areas (OFSTED Dec. 2015). We have recently moved into a brand new £10.5 million school. We are expanding to a 3 form entry, hence the need for this position. We are a very welcoming, extremely well resourced school, with a hardworking and committed team of staff and well behaved pupils who want to learn. We are looking for:

  • An experienced teaching assistant, preferably with experience in KS1 or EYFS
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have at least Maths and Literacy GCSE at Grade C or above
  • An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently

Please note: The London Borough of Havering has undertaken a review of employee terms and conditions, which is planned to come into effect later this year.

This means that this vacancy will be graded at Grade 3 at a salary range from £6,603 to £6,944

However aspects of those terms and conditions (including pay) could be subject to change following implementation of proposals arising from this review.
