DEPUTY HEADTEACHER

Grade: L13-L17

Reports to: Head Teacher

Required for: January 2018

 

Corbets Tey School seeks an enthusiastic and ambitious leader who will make a real difference to the lives of children who present with challenges to their learning. Our school is a popular and oversubscribed, foundation, special school catering for 112 children with significant, complex and wide ranging needs. We have recently extended our offer to cater for 26 students from 16-19 on our new satellite site in Rainham.

Our aim is to inspire, nurture and challenge all of our chidren and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential through a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum designed to meet their significant needs. We are at an exciting and challenging stage of our school development. Our leadership team will be extended to support our growing offer to include: Headteacher, two Deputies, Assistant Headteacher and our Business and School Improvement Leader.

Governors would like to appoint a positive and energetic person who is passionate about improving life chances of children and young adults with a wide range of abilities. The successful applicant will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can help lead the staff team by example and is capable of delivering a broad range of subjects in a way that excites, motivates and engages vulnerable and challenging children. We need a dedicated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our team with the ability to demonstrate clear vision and plan strategically to share in the leadership and continued development and improvement of our school.

  • Have a good understanding and experience of pupils with a wide range of SEN, including complex needs.
