Rush Green Primary School is a large 4 form entry Community School, with a 78 place Nursery, on the borders of Havering.

We are looking for a committed, driven Phase Leader who is passionate about learning, thrives on challenge and who is looking to develop a career in school leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large year 5 and 6 team. We require someone who has a successful track record of raising standards and has year 6 experience. We need an outstanding practitioner with high expectations, who is dedicated to raising standards and who can lead, develop and maximise all learning opportunities for our children. We are looking for an outstanding leader who is able to inspire children and colleagues, leads by example and is a team player.

Applicants must be:

  • An excellent practitioner with a proven record of outstanding and creative teaching
  • Able to raise attainment
  • An excellent role model
  • An excellent communicator
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of accurate assessment
  • Understanding of the leadership role in the development of pupils and staff
  • Able to lead by example and inspire colleagues to ensure all pupils to reach their maximum potential
  • Understanding of current and forthcoming changes in education and what best practice looks like
  • Able to challenge and hold others to account
  • Able to lead Inset and support the school in its strategic development

The successful applicant will work together with a supportive staff and enthusiastic leadership team, who share a strong desire to move the school forward.
