SECOND IN CHARGE OF MATHEMATICS

Required September 2018

Main Pay Scale + TLR (specific amount negotiable and based on experience)

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-qualified, driven professional, who is an outstanding classroom practitioner, to join our school. You will be an inspiring Deputy Leader of the Department with the energy and creativity to help lead a large team of teachers. You will also have a track record of helping to lead creative curriculum innovation and design across KS3 and KS4, resulting in high academic standards and successful GCSE results.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and well qualified teacher of Mathematics with:

  • The ability to deliver consistently outstanding lessons;
  • Proven leadership skills;
  • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of teaching and learning;
  • An ambitious vision for the teaching of Mathematics;
  • The ability to motivate staff and students to drive up standards;
  • Excellent ability to plan strategically;
  • The resolve to make a real difference to the lives of our students.

The Department is well resourced, suited and commands the enjoyment and co-operation of students. The School continues the curent trend of improved results with 70% of students achieving 9-4 in Maths. Our most recent DFE Inspection, January 2018, commented favourably on our progress figures in maths for 2016-2017.
