Vacancy Description

The Campion School

Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, Essex RM11 3BX

Teacher of Design Technology - September 2018

The Campion School is committed to providing the best possible learning and working environment for both pupils and staff.

As we look to bolster our already vastly talented teaching staff, we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Design Technology. The school has good specialist facilities and the department is a successful one with a number of students entering university courses each year. In 2017, 100% of students achieved a grade A*-C at A Level in Design. At GCSE, 92% acheived a grade A*-C in Graphic Design and 75% achieved this in Resistant Materials. The ability to teach at A Level standard would be and advantage and the successful candidate would also be required to teach GCSE.

This makes this role ideal for an NQT or Design Technology teacher in the first few years of their career. Equally. it would also be a great opportunity for someone with more experience under their belt to progress further amongst some talented colleagues. Help with accommodation may be available as the school is currently developing on-site provision for teachers new to the profession.

About us

When joining The Campion School, you'll find a friendly environment that is geared to ensure that both staff and pupils are happy and equipped for success. This is evidenced by our extremely low staff turnover rates.

Working here, you'll find that you're supported in your career and given ample opportunity to continue learning and thrive.

Whilst we are a Catholic school, we are very proud to have a diverse team that supports the ethos of the school. This contributes hugely to creating what we feel to be a welcoming place of work.

Outside the classroom, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved further. We have a keen focus on sport, music and charity work and all staff are welcome to get involved should they wish.

Please apply online. Should you experience any technical difficulty please contact Education HR on 01708 431636.

Closing date: 26th March 2018
