We require a School Receptionist to be the first point of contact in the school's main Reception.

Head Teacher and Governors seek someone who is able to deliver friendly, efficient customer service, creating a welcoming atmopshere to all our guests.

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and highly efficient service including dealing with enquiries from parents, children and the general public, in person and on the telephone.

If you are a good team player, with substantial knowledge and experience of working in a busy office or similar environment and can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, along with a high level of written and spoken English, I would like to hear from you.

This member of staff needs to be an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, friendly, reliable and fun person to manage the smooth running of the Reception area.

This role is demanding with pressures both internally and externally. You must be able to handle a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently and calmly, including operating a busy switchboard, be able to deal with competing deadlines and have excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills.

You will need to have an excellent telephone manner and be able to deal sensitively with a range of children, parents and outside agencies. Articulate in both conduct and dress. Willing to learn - supporting our stream lining of many areas, ensuring the smooth running of this very important department within our school.

You will need excellent IT and interpersonal skills. Previous school office experience using SIMS.net would be an advantage but not essential. Also, confidence with mail merging and  Microsoft Excel.

Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our wonderful school.

Applicants interested in the role, who would like to find out more are welcome and encouraged to visit us in action. Please call the school office on 01708 342275.

Please apply online. Should you experience any technical difficulty please contact Education HR on 01708 431636.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday 19th March, 4pm

Start Date: ASAP

Interviews TBC - if you have not had contact from the school within 4 days from the closing date, you have not been shortlisted.

Interview process will involve using the computer systems and a short conversation with a group of our children.
