Corbets Tey School is a successful special school with supportive governors, staff and very special pupils. From September 2016 the school opened a new Post 16 provision Corbets Tey @ the Avelon (CT@TA) on a satellite site in Rainham.  This has since been extended and expanded to cater for an expected 35 students aged 16-19 in September 2018.  

 

A brand new company, Routes 4 Life (R4L), was recently set up to provide a provision for SEN students aged 19-25. This is due to open on the first floor of the building in September 2018, with a cohort of ten pupils on role in the first year. Routes 4 Life will commission Corbets Tey School to deliver this innovative provision providing a smooth and successful transition into adulthood. This post will support school leaders in developing the most constructive and successful relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, local authority, adult social care and community partners to broaden opportunities for our young people in Havering.

We are seeking an experienced, organised and pro-active Provision Coordinator with knowledge and skills in managing staff and the site of a learning provision, health and safety and also safeguarding of children and adults. This is a new role requiring a flexible, multi-skilled individual who can seamlessly manage a diverse range of tasks to ensure the smooth running of our Post 19 facility.

The Provision Coordinator will be responsible for decision making and be pro-active in resolving day-to-day site, staffing, student and visitor issues. It will involve liaising with a variety of agencies to support the programmes and needs of our young people and we are looking for a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills. This post is based at 100 Avelon Road, Rainham, Essex RM13 7DH.

 

A Provision Coordinator will be responsible for the organisation and co-ordination of all administration services covering the Post 19 provision at the Avelon Site to ensure the quality of:

  • Communication with partners in Post 19 opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with Safeguarding Vulnerable young and adults and leading on site advice regarding Health and Safety
  • Ensuring the safe, secure premises that are ready for use on a day-to-day by students, staff and other school users
  • Efficient and effective organisation and administration of organisation processes, procedures and policies
  • The management and monitoring of facilities, use of the site and visitors including contractors
  • Organisation, administration and reporting of maintenance and repairs
  • Site safety and security including risk assessment and communication of control measures to staff
  • Day-to-day IT support/liaison with IT support
  • Electronic and paper student records, registration, annual returns, etc.
  • Day-to-day financial support and accountancy
  • Communication with Finance Officer, Business Manager and Site Manager and Headteacher at the main school site
  • Communication with staff at CT@TA and R4L sites
