Teaching Assistant - One to One Reception

Initially on a one year contract

Grade: Grade 2 points 11 - 15

Hours: 25 per week, 39 weeks per year

Pro rata Salary range: £11,739 - £11,880 pa

Start 4th September 2018


We are looking to appoint an experienced and high calibre Teaching Assistant to work initially in a Reception class on a one to one basis with a child / children with SENs, commencing at the beginning of the Autumn Term on 4th September 2018.

Hacton Primary School is an outstanding school in all areas (OFSTED Dec. 2015). We have recently moved in to a brand new £10.5 million school. We are expanding to a 3 form entry, and currently have 530 pupils on role and will grow to nearly 650 over the next 4 years. We are a very welcoming, extremely well resourced school, with a hardworking and committed team of staff and well behaved pupils who want to learn. We are looking for:

  • An experienced teaching assistant preferably with experience in KS1 or EYFS. 
  • Qualified to NVQ3 level or equivalent and have at least Maths and Literacy GCSE at grade C or above. 
  • An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
  • Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently.
