Nursery Practitioner (Minimum qualification Level 3 or equivalent)

Hours: Part time 35 hours per week (8am – 4pm less 1 hour for lunch) 39 weeks per year

Grade: APTC 2/3 Points 11 – 17, dependent upon experience

Salary: £19,896 - £20,472 (full time salary quoted)

Contract: Permanent

Rise Park Infant School is an academy sponsor school, where children are well behaved and keen to learn. Staff are friendly and supportive within a welcoming, high performing environment. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our exciting new pre-school setting. 

As a Nursery Nurse you will be responsible for providing care and structured play for children within a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment, both indoors and outdoors. You will build secure bonds with the children and their families. 

Some of your responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring that the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
  • Delivering effective and stimulating activities.
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers.
  • Following and implementing all policies and procedures as set out by the nursery.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is motivated and can work well in a team.
  • Is dedicated to the development of the whole child.
  • Has a sense of fun and can encourage children to bring their sense of imagination, adventure and joy to all that they do.
  • Can engage our children in the highest quality interactions in order to maximise success for all.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience: 

  • Experienced in EYFS is desirable.
  • Minimum NVQ 3 qualification.
  • A high degree of professionalism.
  • An updated knowledge of safeguarding practices.
