Specialist Study Skills Lead

Hours : 36 per week

Term time plus 2 weeks

Grade : Band 8

Salary  : From £27,184 full time salary; actual salary approx. £24,220

Contract : Permanent

Start : ASAP


The Student Support and Welfare team provide academic and personal support to students in receipt of high needs funding, EHCP’s, learning and emotional difficulties. The purpose of this position is to ensure students that have issues acquiring, recalling or retaining learning, either in written or spoken form, are assisted and issues addressed. Managing a team of professionals, the Specialist Study Skills Lead will provide first line triage and assessment with the aim of facilitating autonomy in the learning environment.

 It is essential for the postholder to hold an SpLD qualification and full or associate membership of the Dyslexia Guild or other equivalent.
