Newly Qualified Teachers – Recruitment process 2019-2020
Are you looking for your first teaching post? Have you considered teaching in a Havering primary school? Currently 95% of Havering primary schools are Good or Outstanding (Ofsted). In 2019 Havering was 10th out of all local authorities in England for outcomes in reading, writing and mathematics at KS2.
There is a simple method for you to apply as an NQT. You just need to apply once to the pool, choosing your key stage (EYFS, KS1, and KS2). We will then share this with schools that are looking to recruit who will contact you directly and invite you for an interview at the school.
Havering offers a number of benefits, subject to qualifying conditions for Newly Qualified Teachers:
- July start with July and August paid, subject to head teacher discretion
- Outer London Allowance
- An excellent induction programme
A pool system operates for Primary vacancies. All applications should be made online.
Closing date: 12 midday on 22nd February 2019.
We aim to promote and ensure equality of opportunity and equal treatment for all.
Havering Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and as such expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The protection of our students from abuse is the responsibility of all staff within our school, superseding any other considerations.
Havering Schools comply with the Department for Education ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (September 2018) guidance and all potential employees will undergo vigorous vetting checks to ensure their suitability.
